THE AFRICAN CHILDREN'S CHOIR will present a free concert at 7 p.m. tonight at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 E. 3300 South. The choir has appeared on "Good Morning, America" and "The Today Show." The African tunes, gospel and children's songs will be accompanied with ethnic instruments.

- THE USU ALUMNI BAND is tuning up for a free concert this evening at 7 p.m. in the Chase Fine Arts Center, Kent Concert Hall, Logan. For more information call 435-797-3015.- THE LUCKY NUMBER IS 13 for Farmington's Composers Concert on June 22 at 6:30 p.m. Featuring original pieces by 13 local composers: Mike Erickson, Dave Kirshishnik, Emily Inderreiden, Sally Anne Morgan, Debbie Augustine, Debra Bonner, Emily Christensen, Cori Conners, Barbie Elliot, Carla and Dave Eskelsen, Ruth Gatrell and Teresa Wood. The free concert is at Woodland Park, 300 S. 200 East in Farmington.

- SOPRANO KIRA D. ZEEMAN is the featured artist for a WSU senior recital, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South. The concert is free.

- INTIMATE OPERA will perform in a concert June 23 at the Scera Shell in Orem. For more information call 801-225-2569.

- SALT LAKE SYMPHONIC WINDS will perform selections from "Annie" and "The Sound of Music" during a free outdoor concert at the Brigham Young Historic Park on June 23 at 8 p.m. The park is located on the southeast corner of State Street and Second Avenue.

- KIRMOUNT AND OBSIDIAN are planning a Celtic Jam on June 25 at 7 p.m. in the BYU Museum of Art. The concert is free to the public.

- THE ALPINE FLUTE DUO, also known as Karen Perkins and Anne Parry Bernabe, will be in concert June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2500 E. 3900 South. The duo will be assisted during the free concert by David Norton, guitar, and Roberta Shimensky, piano.

- THE GRANITE YOUTH ORCHESTRA will fill Brigham Young Historic Park with sounds from its Carnegie Hall repertoire on June 26 at 8 p.m. The concert is free.The park is on the southeast corner of State Street and Second Avenue.

- SALSA BRAVA is the first group to perform in Westminster College's "Jammin' at the Jewett" concert series on June 27 at 8 p.m. Salsa Brava's musicians are from the U.S., Honduras, Venezuela, Peru and the Dominican Republic. They will perform at the outdoor amphitheater of the Jewett Center. Ticket are $5 for adults, $3 for students and children, and can be reserved by calling 488-4167.

- THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN JUBILEE CHORUS will be featured at Midvale City's Concert in the Park on June 27 at 7 p.m. at the Midvale City Park ampitheater, 440 E. Park Street (250 W. 7610 South). The chorus is the Salt Lake chapter of the Sweet Adelines. A dinner will be served for a nominal fee from 6-7 p.m. The concert is free.

- THE MURRAY SYMPHONY stars in the annual "Arts in the Park" concert on June 27 at 8 p.m. at the Murray Ampitheater, 269 E. 5300 South. The symphony will perform melodies from "Evita," "Star Trek" and "The Phantom of the Opera," among others. Tickets will be available at the door: $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and $12 for families.
