On June 18, 1998, our precious mother, Marge H. Hansen Strong passed away. Although she had tried her best to hold on to this life, in the end she became too frail to continue.

Marge was born in 1920, the daughter of Sybil Pearson and William B. Hansen in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She married Richard Vernon Strong in Salt Lake City on Aug. 20, 1943. Marge was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Layton 1st Ward.Mom always loved sports. From the time her boys played Little League Baseball until the end of their high school days, she never missed a game. In her last few years she became a devoted fan of Tiger Woods and John Elway.

Mom always said her children were her life...it broke her heart when she lost her oldest daughter, Nan to cancer just three years ago.

Dear wonderful mother, we will miss you so very much. We will love you forever.

Surviving are her children, Marilyn Smedley, Clearfield; Richard A. Strong, Layton; Bill (Stacy) Strong, Orem; Sheila (Ken) Siddall, Layton; brothers, Robert "Bud" (Marilyn) Hansen of Salt Lake City; William B. (Arvilla) Hansen of St. George; and Marian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Nannette; her mother and father; brothers, Ray and Blaine; sisters-Eloise, Luella, Lillian and Marian.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 1998, at 10 a.m. at myers Mortuary of Layton, 250 North Fairfield Road, where friends may call Monday from 9 to 9:45 a.m.. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
