Gloria Jane Wadley Barber, 72, of American Fork, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away June 18, 1998.

She was born September 11, 1925 to Glennwood Wadley and Margie Allred. She married Byron H. Carter August 6, 1943, they were the parents of four children. They later divorced. She married Jex H. Barber, April 19, 1971. Gloria was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. She was a volunteer at the Lakeview Hospital in Centerville for many years. She was a temple worker in the Bountiful Temple. She loved to garden, read, and watch the Jazz play.She is survived by her children Marshall B. (Trudy) Carter, Highland, Glen H. (Kathleen) Carter, College Station, Texas; Laura Lee (Jerry) Boren, Lehi; Carolyn McIlvain, Las Vegas, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include two sisters: Doris (Paul) Peterson and Linda (Joseph) Jensen. She is also survived by five step-children: Kathy Decker, Elyse Tipton, Layne Barber, Dallen Barber, and Brad Barber.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
