Lucille Ellison Strong, age 77, passed away Friday, June 19, 1998.
She was born June 16, 1920 in Farmington, Utah, a daughter of Evan L. and Afton Bourne Ellison. she was raised in Layton and draduated from Davis High School. she attended the University of Utah, affiliating with the Delta Gamma Sorority. Lucille married allen Layton Strong on march 19, 1942, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away Mrach 27, 1990.Lucille was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kaysville 2nd Ward. She served in many Ward and Stake positions.
Lucille was a member of the Kaysville Art Club, Athena Club and Literary Club. She was employed by the Davis County School District for 20 years. She will be remembered and missed for her humor, love and understanding of others. She was blessed with many wonderful friends.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Robert E. Strong, Salt lake City; and one daughter, mary Lynne (Todd) Margan, Kaysville; one brother, Richard E. Ellison, Salt Lake City; four grandchidren, Mary Elizabeth Morgan, Emma Jayne Morgan, Madelynne Noelle Morgan, Gregory Remund.
Funeral services will be held at the Kaysville Rock Chaple, 25 South 200 East, 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 1998. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
