Alden William Rupp, age 78, died June 19, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born April 12, 1920 in taylorsville, Utah, son of Benjamin H. Rupp and Nettie Brown. married Velda Young January 27, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Velda died January 29, 1989. Alden married Irene Lehman Coon June 11, 1990 in Eldo, Nevada. Member of the LDS Church. Alden was a life long farmer in Granger, Heber, and Tremonton. He worked as a Highway Supervisor with Salt Lake county Roads and Bridges for 24 years. Played baseball as a catcher. Alden had 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. His children, grandchildren, and great-granchildren were his pride and joy.Survived by wife, Irene; three sons, Larry (LaDean) Rupp, Tremonton, Utah; Duane (Judy) Rupp, Tremonton, Utah; Rodney (Jan) Rupp, Tyalorsville, Utah; one stepson, Steven (Shirley) Coon, Magna, Utah; one stepdaughter, Jacklyn (Don Bird, West Jordan, Utah; one brohter, Dale (Dorothy) Rupp, Kamiah, idaho; two sisters, Delpha Latimore, Reno, Nevada; Louise (Reed) Erickson, Taylorsville, Utah. Preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Le Febre; LaVelle Newton' one brother, Doral Rupp; grandson, Bradley Duane Rupp.
Fuenral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
