LeRoy W. Irish, age 93, passed away June 20, 1998 at Sandy, Utah.
Born March 23, 1905, at Bellingham, Washington, to Lewis W. and Sarah R. Chamberlain Irish. Married Viola Paget, at Lake Point, Tooele, Utah on June 2, 1926. Sealed later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active in the LDS Church as High Priest group secretary and other positions over the years. He was a structural draftsman with American Smelting and Refining Co. for seven years prior to his employment with the Utah State Highway Dept. for 38 years, retiring in 1970.He is survived by his wife, Viola; son, Glen L. (Effie) Irish, Midvale; daughter, Joy I. (Ray) Thornley, Hyde Park, Utah; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, where friends may call Wednesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East.
