Mayor Brian Cook wants to reward residents and businesses who work hard to keep their yards beautiful. He's starting a new program this summer - The Millennial Yard.

City meter readers will regularly be looking for good-looking yards and will refer them to a special committee of senior citizens that will do the judging.Cook said he hopes to get some sponsors for the program and to offer some sort of prize, as well as place a special sign in winners' yards.
