A U.S. diplomatic mission will tell Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic this week that he must meet all the demands of the Contact Group on Kosovo, U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said on Sunday.

She said U.S. ambassador to Macedonia Christopher Hill and nominated ambassador to the United Nations Richard Hol-brooke would tell Milosevic specifically that he must withdraw his forces from the troubled province, which is dominated by ethnic Albanians opposed to Serb rule."Ambassador Holbrooke and Ambassador Hill are going to be seeing Milosevic this week, where we will deliver a strong message that violence is not acceptable, that the package that the Contact Group put out is a package and not a menu. He has to pull back his forces," she said in an interview with the NBC television program Meet the Press.

The Contact Group - Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and the United States - called in London this month for the Yugoslav leader to withdraw "security units used for civilian repression" from Kosovo.

The group also demanded unimpeded access to Kosovo for international monitors and hu-man-i-tar-i-an organizations, the right of refugees to return to their homes and rapid progress in a dialogue with the Kosovo Albanian leadership.
