The City Council is considering annexation of 80 acres west of 4000 West at approximately 2050 North into the city limits.

The land is currently in unincorporated Davis County, but it would square off the city's western border.City manager Dennis Cluff said the annexation process is in its preliminary stages and no public hearings have yet been set. He expects hearings on the issue to be in July or August.

The land under consideration is owned by James Aland and Melvin Peterson.

Cluff said the main focus on the annexation will be sewer service. The land sits in a very wet area and one that's lower in elevation than the North Davis Sewer District plant.
