Virgil Leonard Palmer, age 86, passed away Sunday June 21, 1998 at home in Hinckley.
Born July 23, 1911 in Deseret to David Henry and Nettie May Owen Palmer. Married Cree Dutson June 8, 1932 in Manti LDS Temple. She died December 20, 1947. Married Berneice Hepworth October 23, 1951 in Manti LDS Temple.Hinckley High School graduate. Farmer and worked 26 years for Utah Department of Highways. Active member LDS Church serving in many positions including Hinckley Ward Bishop. President of Farm Bureau, President of Young Farmers Association and worked in FFA, Hinckley Justice of Peace, two term member Hinckley Town Council.
Survived by wife, Berneice, Hinckley; Daughters: Marilyn (Lee) Manwill, Salt Lake City; Peggy Ann (Steven) Witters, Ucon, Idaho; Patty Mae (Blaine) Dickson, Clearfield; Debra Palmer, Salt Lake City; sons: Mont (Janice) Palmer, Bountiful; Michael L. (Caroline) Palmer; and Paul H. Palmer; both Hinckley; adopted daughter, Yvonne (Brent) Spencer, Hinckley; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, two granddaughters.
