According to Bill Pascoe (Human Events, May 29), National Council of Senior Citizens, funded almost entirely by the federal government, admitted to illegal political contributions, neglecting to make political contributions and expenses publicly known, exceeding contributions limits and other illegal political activities, for which they were fined a measly $12,000, paid for with taxpayer funds, no doubt. As long as the money comes from taxpayer pockets, what does a little fine like this matter to this organization? There's plenty more taxpayer money to be had. This group should not be given one dime of taxpayer money. This is just another example of how we taxpayers are being ripped off by the federal government. How long are we going to stand by and allow Congress to fund organizations like this in order to get votes?
