Salt Lake police are investigating a Tuesday morning carjacking at Liberty Park that left the vehicle's owner with a broken nose.

The victim was walking in the park at 11 a.m. when he was approached by another man, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Kyle Jones.Jones said the man showed the victim a gun in his waistband and demanded the victim's wallet and car keys. When the victim refused, he was struck in the face.

The carjacker took the victim's keys and drove off in the man's white Honda Civic.
