He had been a long-time resident of Santa Barbara, CA and for a time of Bountiful and then Orem, Utah.He was born March 1, 1916 in Crosby, North Dakota to Robert N. and Anna H. Paulson Jacobson. He grew up on a farm South East of Crosby. After graduating from high school in Crosby, he moved to Santa Barbara where he worked at the Dupont's Hilltop Riding Stables in Hope Ranch. He married Ellen J. Fraga September 19, 1942 and had two daughters, Marsha and Susan. Upon furthering his education in Electronic Engineering and accounting, he became chief auditor at Seaside Oil Co. They were residents of Santa Barbara for many years and had many cherished friends and relatives. He served in the community and church organizations. After finding the Book of Mormon in a motel room and having associations with two LDS bishops from work, he gained a fervent testimony of the LDS Church. He and his family were baptized into the LDS Church in 1962. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple a year later.

He faithfully served five stake missions and converted over 50 people to the church. He was also a very knowledgeable and dynamic teacher in the church and had various leadership positions including a High Priest. His warm and caring spirit touched many lives. In his later years, he and Ellen moved to Utah to be near their daughters and their families. He was always a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Our beloved "Papa-Grandpa" is survived by his sweetheart of 55 years, Ellen of Orem, Utah; daughters, Marsha Acheson of Bountiful, Utah; Susan (David) Tomlinson and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jesse and Josie of Provo, Utah.
