SHARE Peace Trees Project needs adult and youth volunteers

The Utah Federation for Youth is looking for youth and adult volunteers to aid in a community service project. The program, called the Peace Trees Project, will be from July 6-22, involves youths from Utah and other states who will work to create a park along the Jordan River. Participants from out of state will live at the Utah National Guard's Camp Williams.

Activities will include tree planting and bridge building as well as participating in various workshops focusing on leadership, conflict resolution, environmental stewardship, cultural awareness and peacemaking skills.Volunteers are needed for the following responsibilities: registration, cooking, chaperoning, evening activities and entertainment, morning meditation, lunch pick-up and delivery to Peace Tree site, evaluations and transportation.
