The University of Utah is helping business and private computer users compete in the job market.
The U.'s expanding Noncredit Computer Training Program is offering classes for people to obtain a certificate of completion in computer science.Program administrator Larry Vorderer said that a simple look in the want ads of the newspaper shows the need for qualified people in the workplace.
Among the certificates offered are the Novell Network Administrator Program, NetWare Certified Engineer Program, Microsoft Engineer Program, Web Design, Microsoft Office/Web Design and Microsoft Office Specialist Program.
Offered in four-hour sessions, the classes help busy professionals to complete individual courses in a timely manner. The classes are taught at USA Computers, 1739 S. Redwood Road.
