Our beloved mother and nana, Fonda Pederson Stout, passed away on June 27, 1998 at UVRMC in Provo following a short illness.

Fonda was born in Ephraim, Utah, January 30, 1917, a daughter of Henry and Clara Pederson. She married her sweetheart Clayton Stout on June 2, 1941 in the Manti Temple. She and Clayton shared 55 wonderful years together before his passing in May, 1996, living in Salt Lake, Clearfield, and finally Ephraim. They both spent many years associated with Snow College where Fonda managed the bookstore for almost 20 years.Fonda will always be remembered for her love of people, her sense of humor and her ability to help people smile and to bring brightness wherever she was. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and bore a strong testimony of her Savior throughout her life. She filled many church positions and won the love and respect of countless youth. "We love you, Nana!"

Survived by sons, Gail (Beverly), Sandy; Gary , Citrus Heights, CA; daughter, Janis Kunz (Bob), Orem; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, George, and a sister, Dorothy, both Orem. Preceded in death by spouse; parents; three sisters, and one brother.

A special viewing will be held Wednesday, July 1st, at the Sharon Park 2nd Ward chapel, 225 East 200 North, Orem, from 7-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 2nd, 12 noon, at the 5th Ward Chapel, #10 So. Main, Ephraim, with the viewing from 10-12 noon at the same location. Interment to follow at the Ephraim Cemetery. Funeral directors, Buchanan Mortuary, Manti, Utah.
