Our caring, dedicated, father, Bernard D. Henrie passed away Monday June 1, 1998, in the Garfield Memorial Care Center in Panguitch.

He was born June 18, 1908, in Panguitch, Utah, to James Nathan Henrie and Sarah Olive Lee Henrie. He married Annie Elizabeth "Beth" Wilcock in Circleville, Utah, May 6, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in l988. Bernard was a successful farmer and livestock rancher in the Panguitch area. He attended Panguitch schools and Utah State University. He valued education and encouraged his children in their educational endeavors. He loved music and could play a number of instruments. He always stayed active and enjoyed keeping up on current events. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, West Panguitch Irrigation Co., The Farm Bureau, The Panguitch Wildlife Assn., and was a charter member in the Utah Farm Production Credit Assn. He was a member of the LDS Church.He is survived by his children: Bernice (Don) Miller, Klamath Falls, OR; James Burdell (Patricia Ann Olds) Henrie, Herriman; Saralea "Sally" (Chad G.) Heaton, Hyde Park; Arlene "Toi" Williamson, Boise ID; Marlene "Beanie" (Robert Alan) Palmer, Albuquerque, NM; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Keith O. Henrie; and two sisters-in-law, Rosamond Day Henrie and Neucille Boyter Henrie; sister, Fern Slade Sevy.

Preceded in death by wife, parents, brothers and sisters: Fern Olive Henrie Slade, James Usher Henrie, Harvey Ferald Henrie, Roy Led Henrie, and George Champ Henrie.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Panguitch LDS Stake Center, 550 S. 100 W., where friends may call Monday from 9-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield.
