As simple as it sounds, and confessing not to be any political pollster, expert or interpreter, I offer this simple explanation of President Clinton's high poll ratings.
Conducting a simple poll of my own, I asked 10 people these five questions.1. Do you think Dennis Rodman is doing a good job as a basketball player?
2. Is Larry Flynt doing a good job as editor of Hustler magazine?
3. Was John Holmes a good porno star?
4. Was Caligula a good Roman emperor?
5. Is President Clinton a good president?
The responses to each of these five questions had a favorability rating of 60 percent or better.
I have come to realize that polls, in their own simple way, might be accurate after all.
