The Project Success Coalition will hold its ninth annual statewide Juneteenth Heritage Festival June 19-21.
The theme for the celebration is "Imani . . . Celebrating Our Faith." The festival features three days of live entertainment, Utah's largest African American Health Fair, craft and information booths, and more.National recording artist To'nex and MC Flex, rap artist Toby T. and Mayle, Vision of Praise, Sona Sane West African Dance and Drum Troupe and Harry Lee & and the Back Alley Blues Band will help kick off the celebration at the Gallivan Center, 36 E. 200 South, at noon June 19.
The festival moves to Ogden's Lindquist Baseball Park, 2330 Lincoln Ave., Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21. The events Saturday include performing artists and the annual Festival Parade. Sunday highlights include the Annual Gospel Music Festival, featuring To'nex, Vision of Praise, Metropolitan Praise Team, George Brown Jazz Ensemble, MC Flex and others.
