United Way of Utah County Transportation unit has received the Kae Draper Outstanding Transit Award for outstanding transit system in the state of Utah.
The award was presented at Utah's Urban, Rural and Specialized Transportation Association's annual meeting held in St. George.Recipients of the award are chosen by their peers. Transportation providers in the state of Utah are asked to nominate an outstanding transit system that has a great impact in the community.
United Way of Utah County Transportation provides safe, efficient transportation services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
"The award was well deserved by the drivers and office staff," said Lopini Wolfgramm, director of transportation. "They really earned it. It was good to be recognized for what we try to do here in the community."
By coordinating transportation efforts with human service agencies, United Way of Utah County Transportation is better able to efficiently fulfill the transportation needs in this community.
