Construction has been completed on the new Glen Eagle Golf Course, 3300 W. 1700 South.
Its developer says it will be ready for use this fall or next spring.Randall & Blake, the course's general contractor, completed construction on the 18-hole facility in early July. The company had to contend with unusually wet weather during most of the construction.
Glen Eagle is part of a planned development community in Syracuse. It's the city's first golf course and the third course on the west side of north Davis County. Schneiter's Bluff in West Point and Swan Lakes in Layton have been operating for several years.
Architect Howard Neff designed Glen Eagle as a Scottish links-style course. Its ninth hole is an island green. The course also offers scenic views of both Antelope Island and the Wasatch Mountains.
The course has been a longtime dream of Syracuse developer Mike McBride.
Randall & Blake and Neff have teamed up on several other Utah golf courses. They produced Wasatch Mountain State Park Golf Course and Mountain Dell Golf Course.
