An 18-month-old girl was listed in serious condition at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Tuesday morning after being hit by a car late Monday morning.
Alexandra Fraedrich suffered head injuries when she was run over at about 11:30 a.m., according to Lt. Bob Connor. The accident occurred as a woman was backing out of a driveway on Garden Park Drive and did not see the toddler, who had wandered behind the car. The girl had been playing outside with her mother and sister.UVRMC spokesman Anton Garrity said the child's condition is improving but the long-term effects of her injuries are not known.
