Bonnie Jean Barnum Neff, died July 13, 1998, of natural causes, following several long illnesses.
She was born on April 8, 1924, and grew up in Utah, graduating from Jordan Junior High School and West High School. During the 1960's she pursued a life-long dream and obtained her nursing license.Bonnie was the wife of C.W. (Irish) Neff. They were married on June 14, 1941, and were the parents of four children: Sharon Lee, who is deceased; JoEllen Kirkham, of California; Iris Durfee, of Park City; Michael K. Neff, of West Jordan. She was the daughter of the late Harry L. Barnum and Myrtle Barnum. She was the sister of Sibyl Rhea, of West Valley; Harry Barnum Jr.; Beulah Stringham, both deceased; Lorraine Thomas, of Salt Lake City; Richard Barnum, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bonnie has seven grandchildren (Ronald Shane Densley, James Kevin Neff, Stacci Carlquist, Jacqueline Densley, Jason McNeill, Kelly McNeill, and Cassidy Neff) seven great-grandchildren, (BJ, Desiree, JJ, Jackie, Ryan, Tommy and Ann), and a host of nieces and nephews. Bonnie was a well-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend.... and a loyal Utah Jazz fan.
An Open House will be held Thursday evening from 4-7 p.m. and a Informal Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at 7837 So. 3930 W. Inurnment Utah Veterans Memorial Park. Funeral Directors Broomhead Funeral Home, Riverton.
