SHARE BYU appoints P.R. director as associate marketing v.p.

John Lewis has been named Brigham Young University's Advancement associate vice president for marketing.

Lewis, who came to BYU in 1996, has been the director of public and alumni relations for the Marriott School of Management. He will now be responsible for BYU's division of licensing and trademarks, the KSL Association, Publications and Graphics, Special Events and the Cougar Club.Before he joined the Marriott School of Management administration, Lewis was vice president of corporate development for Nu Skin Enterprises Inc.

He began his career with Mountain Bell as a member of the business sales team that handled government, education and medical clients. He then moved to WordPerfect Corp. and became the executive vice president in charge of corporate communications, sales and marketing, publications and all international business operations outside the United States and Canada. Lewis was also a member of WordPerfect's board of directors.
