Our beloved husband, father, grandfather Joseph Claude Seguin, 81, passed away July 12, 1998 at home, after a lingering illness.

Born November 9, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph A. and Donna J. Seguin. Married Madelin M. Mitchell on October 14 in Salt Lake City, UT. Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Joe was a graduate of West High School. He served many years in the US Army, previous to and including World War II. He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions through out his life and spent several years in the Scouting organization.Joe was a meat cutter by trade. He had a great following of devoted customers whereever he went due to his care and service. He also spent ten years of dedicated service working for the LDS Church. Joe was a perfectionist which reflected in everything he did.

Joe enjoyed many hobbies including flying, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. His greatest joy in life was the time spent with his family. His home became the haven for many family gatherings. His unconditional devotion to his family was the Hallmark of his life. He is a devoted son, a cherished eternal partner and an idolized father and grandfather.

Survived by wife, Madelin; mother Donna (101 years old); one daughter, JoAnn (Steve) Ramseyer; five sons, Richard (Sue); John (Rosie); Terry (Patty); Ron (Robin); Kevin (Alicia); daughter-in-law Diane; Aunt Pat Lomax; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, brother, Henry and sister, Melba West.

Funeral services Friday, July 17, 12 noon at the SL Brighton 1st Ward, 3001 E. Bengal Blvd. (7800 South) Viewing Thursday July 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) and Friday at the church 11-11:45 a.m. Interment Mountain View Mem. states.
