SHARE `Smoke’ screening is Thursday in S.L.

An organization designed to help Utah's American Indian population will host a benefit screening of an award-winning film written, directed and co-produced by American Indians.

The Circle of Wellness project will receive the proceeds from the screening of Miramax Film's "Smoke Signals." The movie will play at the Broadway Centre Cinema, 111 E. 300 South, Thursday, July 16, at 7 p.m.The "Circle of Wellness" project is a concept developed by local organizations that serve American Indians statewide. The project is designed to provide opportunities and job training.

A reception will precede the movie screening at 5:30 p.m. on the balcony of Il Sansivino Restaurant, 299 S. Main St. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Utah Division of Indian Affairs at 538-8808.
