Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend, Llewellyn Stone "Gouge" Jones, 59, of Spanish Fork, died Wed., July 15, 1998 in Salt Lake City of a work related accident.
He was born on June 5, 1939 in Payson, Utah, the son of Llewellyn Oliver Jones and Ida Blanche Stone Jones. He married Marcia Kay Neil on July 7, 1962 in Elko, Nevada.He attended schools in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He served in the Army for three years. He worked as an Iron Worker for 37 years and was a member of the Iron Workers Union. He enjoyed mechanics and loved to restore old cars and attend car shows. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved camping with his family, friends, and beloved grandchildren. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include his wife of Spanish Fork; three sons and one daughter: Llewellyn "Lewie" (Joyce) Jones of Spanish Fork; Sharon (Troy) Trujillo of Payson; Victor (Roshelle) Jones of Payson; Marc (Sallie) Jones of Salt Lake City; three grandchildren: Daniel , Justin , Amber Trujillo; and one aunt, Pearl Hammer of Morgan Town, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 20, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 360 North 650 West, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or Monday at the ward relief society room from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with military rites by the Spanish Fork American Legion.
