Warren Weldon Trapp, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in a local hospital.

He was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 10, 1918 and had resided in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1925. He attended East High School and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Henry J. Trapp; his brother, Jimmy Trapp; and his granddaughter, Stephanie Lyn Trapp.Warren married Betty Rose Harris in Provo, Utah on October 6, 1937. He was a carpet salesman for 35 years at Southeast Furniture Company. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. Warren was an avid photographer and won many awards, due to his love for the craft and his attention to detail. He was a big fan of Dixie-Land Jazz as well as the "Big Bands".

Warren is survived by his wonderful wife of 60 years, Betty; his daughters, Marilyn (Jack) Spey, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and Kay (Bruce) Green, of Salt Lake City; his sons, David W. Trapp and Richard L. (Ralyn) Trapp, of Salt Lake City; his grandchildren, Jody (Kristen) Trapp, Christopher Green, Kelly Green, Jeffery (Kim) Trapp, Jami Trapp, and Alexis Loos; and one great-grandchild, Ashley Trapp.

The family would like to express special thanks to Sesiu and Manu Vea for their loving care.

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 20, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
