Dale Edward Link, 36, passed away after a valiant fight with cancer on July 17, 1998 at his home in American Fork.
Dale was born December 7, 1961 in Lancaster, California the son of William and Virginia Shaffrey Link. He married the love of his life, Sandra Hoopes in the Salt Lake Temple March 19, 1988. A graduate of UVSC in 1990, he went on to earn a B.S. Degree from BYU in Linguistics. After serving an LDS mission for the Deaf, he continued serving faithfully in numerous church callings until he was called home. Dale reached out and blessed the life of all he met and felt fortunate to use his talents to teach sign language at BYU. He was well known and respected in the Deaf Community as a teacher, friend, and mentor. His soft spoken manner, big heart, sense of humor, and love of trains will be with us forever.A prime example of a dear husband and top-notch father, Dale is survived by his wife Sandra; two sons: Eric and Seth, all of American Fork; his father and stepmother Glenda, of Bloomfield, MO.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 21, 1998 at 10 a.m. in the Utah Valley Deaf Ward, 424 West 1200 South, Provo. (Those attending should enter off of 500 West.) Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North, American Fork) and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial in the American Fork City Cemetery.
