The annual Handcart Days is ready to roll again.

The highlight of the festival, the mammoth parade, will take place Thursday, July 23. Starting at 6:30 p.m., 118 floats will roll past the hundreds of spectators lining th route.The parade will begin at Five Points Mall, travel north along Main to 300 North, then turn west to 100 West. The parade will feature floats from local businesses and politicians, high schools and beauty queens. Gov. Mike Leavitt and the Utah Jazz will also have floats.

After the parade, families can slap on the feed bags while enjoying local entertainers, concessions and recreation activities at Bountiful City Park. Park activities will run between 4:30 and 10:30 p.m. Thurs-day and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The fireworks display will be held Thursday night and will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m. The show will be at Mueller Park Junior High, 1000 E. 1800 South.

The Exchange Club will sponsor a breakfast between 7 and 10 a.m. Friday at the Bountiful City Park bowery. Softball, swim races and athletic exhibitions sponsored by Bountiful City Parks and Recreation will follow.

An ongoing arts exhibit will continue through Friday at the Bountiful/Davis Arts Center, 745 S. Main. The show, which features many local artists, has been on display since June 29. It can be seen all days except Sunday.
