Mary Emma Listello, 86, died peacefully after a long struggle with cancer.
She was born and raised in Revesca, Italy, to August Frisa and Rose Rametti, February 2, 1912. She came to Helper, Utah when she was 12 years old with her mother and two brothers, where her father had been working to afford to send for the family. One brother had to stay in Italy because he was going in the service.On September 15, 1934, Mary married Albert Listello in Price, Utah. Together they raised three children, and enjoyed fishing, and activities with relatives. In 1979, Mary moved to the Pleasant View area following Albert's death.
She was a founding member of the Sorella D'America Lodge #31 and a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son, Larry (Sundee) Listello, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Irene (Robert) Fratto, Fairfield, California; Lorine (William) Bezyack, North Ogden; a brother, Pete (Rose) Frisa; five grandchildren, Juliette (Brad), Cynthia, Stacy, Hydee (Matt), and Joseph; and a great-grandson, Austin; also many nieces and nephews; and a special cousin who was like a sister, Katie Bruce. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price, Utah. Friends may call at Mitchell Funeral Home on Thursday from noon-1:45 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
