SHARE Intersection is reopened at 700 South, W. Temple

The Utah Transit Authority has re-opened the intersection of 700 South and West Temple after completing construction work for its light-rail mass transit system.

East-west traffic can now flow normally on 700 South between Main Street and 200 West, where Transit Express cars will carry commuters beginning in early 2000.One northbound lane on West Temple remains closed, however, while additional work is finished. Two northbound lanes and three southbound lanes are open on West Temple through the 700 South intersection.

The $312 million TRAX system will stretch from 10000 South in Sandy to the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
