Doctor testifies Naval cadet could have killed rival alone

It would have been difficult with one hand severely injured, but former Naval Academy midshipman Diane Zamora could have acted alone and killed a girl she considered a romantic rival, her doctor testified.

Called as a prosecution witness in the capital murder trial of David Graham, Zamora's ex-fiance, Dr. Scott Kasden testified that the injury from a truck wreck would have hindered Zamora. The fingers in her left hand were crushed three months before the attack. But on questioning from the defense, Kasden conceded that a lone attack was possible - especially if she had a gun.

Defense attorneys for Graham, a former Air Force Academy cadet, contend Zamora alone fatally shot 16-year-old Adrianne Jones on Dec. 4, 1995.
