Myrtle Esther Shirley Belnap passed away peacefully July 21, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born September 7, 1899 in Rexburg, Idaho to James F. and Sarah F. Virgin Shirley. She married Earl Read Belnap October 4, 1922 in the Salt Lake Temple.Myrtle was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in many teaching and leadership positions, as Relief Society President and Young Womens President.

Survived by a son, Reid M. Belnap (Trudy Fritzsche); and daughters, Glenna (Bert M. Busath), Ruth (David W. Parry), all of Salt Lake City; and Shirlene Fox, of Bellevue, Washington. Also, survived by brothers, Ross Shirley and Rodney J. Shirley; and sisters, Bonnie Jorgensen and Ada Moss; 14 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; and a daughter, Marion.

Funeral Service will be held 12 noon, Saturday July 25, 1998, at the Holladay 3rd Ward Chapel, 4568 South Holladay Blvd., where friends may call from 9:45-11:45 prior to service. Interment Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane.
