Irene Espinosa, age 84, died July 20, 1998 in Salt Lake City.
Born December 3, 1913 in Salt Lake City, to Awad and Lula Gazell. Married Joseph A. Espinosa, October 29, 1934 in Castledale, Utah.Irene owned and operated Irene's Beauty and Dress Shop for several years in Helper, Utah, until moving to Salt Lake City in 1959, where she owned Irene's Beauty Shop until 1985.
During her life, Irene enjoyed fishing, camping and the Peppermill Slot Machines. Irene's family would like to say "Thank You" to all the staff at the Peppermill Casino in Wendover, Nevada. A "Special Thanks" to Bill White, for all the wonderful Sunday's he provided for her, and Jeanette Welch, her lifelong friend, who never let her down.
Survived by husband, Joe Espinosa; a son, Rick Page (Denice); sisters, Stella Frazee, and Annie Williamson; brother, Charley Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters, Sophie and Eva; brothers, George and Toffee.
Family and friends may call, Friday, July 24, 1998 at St. Vincent's Church at 8:30 a.m. where Rosary will be recited; and Mass celebrated, 1375 E. Spring Lane (5150 S.).
