Clyde James Simon, 23, died July 17, 1998 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on the Mirror Lake Highway near Kamas, Utah.

Born August 28, 1974 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Ralph and Sheila Josie Adams Simon.Clyde graded highest in the nation in science while in school. He was an excellent swimmer and enjoyed golf and skiing. He enjoyed children and was an incredible gardener. The world will be an emptier place without Clyde.

Survived by his mother, Mrs. Steve (Sheila) Sorensen, of Kearns; his father, Mr. Donald (Kay) Simon, of Park City; sisters: Samantha Simon, of Kamas, UT; and Jessica Sorensen, of Kearns; brother, Adam Sorensen, of Kearns; and a cousin, Matthew Woodhead, of Texas; grandfather, Howard Simon, of Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles and other cousins. He is also survived by his faithful companion, his dog, Kizzie.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Kamas 1st Ward, 100 W. Center, where friends may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in the care of Olpin Mortuary, Heber City.

Clyde's family is setting up a memorial in Clyde's name for a charity to be named later. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clyde Simon Memorial in care of Olpin Mortuary, P.O. Box 354, Heber City, Utah 84032 or to Samantha Simon.
