Other Pioneer Day events include the Invitational Art Show at the Utah State Fairpark Grand Building, through Friday. Also Friday, the Deseret News/Granite Furniture Marathon begins at 5 a.m. and 10K begins at 6:15 a.m. Both end at Liberty Park, 600 East and 900 South. This year's races may be the most competitive ever. Contenders from the United States and abroad will be competing for prize money and possibly cash bonuses for setting course records. The Days of '47 Parade begins at 9 a.m. at South Temple and Main.
