We lost our sweetheart, our dad, and our friend on July 23, 1998, after a short battle with cancer.

Derrell Evan Williams was born on June 19, 1923 in Fountain Green, Utah, to Samuel and Emma O. Williams. He married Ethel M. Lee on February 20, 1946 in Fountain Green. (Charlotte), Payson; Carl L. (Luann), Orem; David N. (Debra), Glenwood. Derrill is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne, and two sisters, Julia and Anola.

Derrell was a veteran of World War II, serving in the India, Burma, China theater. He was retired from the NRP Rubber Company in Nephi. He was a civic minded person and served in many capacities both the church and the community, including City Councilman, Ward Clerk in three bishoprics, President State Blackhawk War Committee, and President of the Cedar Hill Pasture and Fountain Green City Sexton. His civic and community pride will be missed by all who knew him. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his wife and family with all of his heart.
