Mrs. Evah Keil Huish Jones, passed away July 23, 1998, surrounded by her husband, family and sisters.
She was born in Sandy, Utah on Nov. 30, 1914, to Ernest W. Keil and Hatti A. Powell Keil.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 59 years, David H. Huish. Evah is survived by her husband, Veldon W. Jones, children, Joan Perry, Jerry Huish (Kathy), Dan Huish, Michael Huish (Cindy), Edward Huish (Susan), and Carol Huish; stepchildren - Arlene Jones Miller (Tom), Bruce Jones (Kathy), Ross Jones (Connie), Ken Jones (Merry), Steven Jones (Karen).
She worked much of her adult years in the Primary program of the LDS Church, and helped lots of children learn to love Heavenly Father and begin their lives of service. She was foster mother to many children that needed a home, and she loved each of them as her own. During her fruitful life she helped many learn to enjoy music through playing the saxophone, piano, and through song.
Funeral services Monday, July 27, 1998, 10 am, Sandy Midvalley Stake Center, 1106 E. 8055 So. Friends may call Sunday 6 - 8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mort., 4760 So. State St. and Monday from 9 - 9:45 am at the church. Interment - Sandy City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to Primary Children's Medical Center, 100 N. Medical Dr., SLC, UT 84113.
