SHARE Death: Harriet R. Scott

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Harriet Rozella Mecham Scott, returned to the arms of her loving family, July 23, 1998 after a valiant struggle with cancer.

Born August 23, 1908 in Theadora, Utah to Ephram and Harriet Mecham. Married George Harold Scott Sr., January 16, 1928 in Salt Lake City. Harriet was a believer in family first and taught this value to her family by example. She loved each and everyone of us unconditionally. She was a woman of integrity, who worked hard all her life. She had only simple needs and preferred to live that way. Grandma showed great courage at the end of this life, enduring to the end as her religion taught her.Survived by her son, George (Barbara) Harold, Jr. of West Valley City; her daughter, Joan (Frank) Crocco of Sandy; one living brother, Paul LaMar Mecham of Salt Lake; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren, all who love her with all their hearts. Preceded in death by her husband (1958), parents, nine brothers and sisters, and most of her friends. We wish we could see the reunion you're having now.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 1998, 12 noon, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and N St. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Tuesday 11-11:45 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to Community Nursing Services (HOSPAS) Organization.

The family would like to thank Fay Case Nursing Home for the kind loving care they gave Harriet these past few months.
