Doyce Ardell Shepherd, 69, returned home to his Father in Heaven on July 25, 1998, of complications due to heart disease.
He was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Marlin Ardell Shepherd and Tina M. Nielsen on December 18, 1928. He was an active member of the LDS church where he held many different positions. He enjoyed doing latch hook rugs, crafts, traveling and spending time with family. He was a great supporter of the grandchildren's activities and church advancements.He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Shepherd, West Jordan; four children, Karen (Ronald) Weber, South Jordan; Sheryl (Robert) Myntti, Orem; Patty (Michael) Jenkins, Pleasant Grove; Kyle (Shirley) Shepherd, Ephraim; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters and two brothers, Dorothy (Ray) Blackham, Salina; Connie (Jay) Jensen, Ephraim; Jay (Jeannine) Shepherd, Richfield; Dick (Marilyn) Shepherd, Central; Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 1998, 11 a.m. at the Mountain View Stake Center, 2901 W. 9000 S., West Jordan, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday, July 28, 1998 form 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Redwood Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Memorial Estates Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd.
