Once, the Man from U.N.C.L.E. was the kid from L.A.

That was back when Robert Vaughn was just starting out - taking the bus to Los Angeles City College and finding a party where he could, before he landed his role as Napoleon Solo on "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" TV series of the 1960s.Now he's getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the location brings back a flood of memories.

"I took the Red Car (trolley) from that corner and transferred to a bus to get to Los Angeles City College. I remember that spot well," said Vaughn, 65, whose movie credits include "The Magnificent Seven," "Bullitt" and "Superman III."
