A Sugar House woman working at the University of Utah Hospital was charged with seven counts of making a fraudulent narcotics report Thursday in 3rd District Court.
From January 1997 to March 1998, Sandra L. Venturino, 43, reported administering various doses of morphine and other painkillers to patients.According to the charges, Venturino reported administering more than 230 milligrams of morphine that were unaccounted for during the 15-month period.
Records show that the patients Venturino said she was administering the drugs to were either not scheduled to receive the medicine or said they did not receive the drugs, the charges state.
Venturino posted $5,000 bail.
