In Doug Robinson's June 25 column, he made the following surprising remark: "If these guys (certain Jazz players) are so good, how come they finished second?" Isn't that like saying, "If Doug Robinson is such a good sports writer, how come he's working for only the second-largest paper in Utah?" Inasmuch as we've enjoyed exceptional basketball performance from the Jazz, and good sports writing from Doug Robinson as well, I believe Doug may agree with me that perhaps both comments mischaracterize their subject.
