Seventeen quilting awards have been presented as part of the 25th annual quilt show that opened recently at the Springville Art Museum.
The Director's Award went to Dawna Swenson, Orem, for "Weston's Zen"; the Master Quilt Award went to Marva Dalebout, Orem, for "Grandmother's Field of Flowers"; and The Award of Merit went to Julia Smoot for "Amish Tulips." "Meadow Lily" is being featured as The 1998 Springville City Quilt project, a fund-raiser to support the museum's Centennial Wing Project.Admission is free. The museum, 126 E. 400 South, is open Sundays from 3-6 p.m.; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, except Wednesday when it is open until 9 p.m. It is open Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. It is closed Monday and holidays.
