Essie Laraine Gines Lefler Jones Manwaring, age 86, returned to her Heavenly Father July 5, 1998 after fighting a valiant battle against cancer for over 1 1/2 years.

She cared about the less fortunate and her family and friends loved listening to poetry she recited from memory. She was an avid Jazz fan! Her hobbies were bowling and fishing and she did both very well. She loved camping, traveling and animals, especially horses and was an experienced rider.
