Joseph Melvin Hansen, 63, passed away July 6, 1998 in Logan, Utah.
Joe was born November 3, 1934 in Logan, Utah to Earl Abraham Hansen and Alta Glenn. He graduated from Logan High School before serving an LDS mission to Toronto, Canada. He then graduated from Utah State University and received his DDS degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Sharon Christiansen, April 12, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple. They later divorced.Joe was actively involved in the Boy Scouts throughout his life. He loved being in the outdoors and had great joy in sharing his skill and knowledge with others. He was active in the church and served in many leadership positions.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne (Mark) Steffensen, Salt Lake City; Kendall (Nancy) Hansen, Gilbert, Arizona; Craig Hansen, Salt Lake City; Jennifer Hansen, Daniel Hansen and Bonnie Hansen, all of Providence, UT; nine grandchildren. Also by his brothers and sisters, Ruth (Dell) Anderson, Loraine (Robert) Rallison, Raymond (Gladys) Hansen and Paul (Linda) Hansen.
