Four northern Utah companies and a government entity have been recognized by the Workers Compensation Fund of Utah for efforts in reducing losses and upholding superior safety records.
At the same time the companies were honored, company officials received dividend checks that were part of a $40 million payout to policyholders.Recognized by the fund were Kier Construction Corp., Daywest Healthcare Services Inc., AA&S Corp., Box Elder County and Tec Electric Co.
Blake Green, the fund's northern region president, said the companies showed improvements in safety and loss prevention as a result of their cooperation and teamwork with the fund.
