Harold Wilson England, age 77, died Wednesday, July 7, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah of a heart attack.

Born February 18, 1921, Tooele, a son of Moray and Violet Lambert England. Married Ruth Anderson, May 16, 1942, in Paris, Idaho. She preceded him in death in 1963. Married Elizabeth Mae Abplanalp Lewis on December 16, 1967 in Salt Lake City.He served in the Navy and Marines as a flight instructor and fighter pilot in World War II. He was a pilot in the Marine Reserves while flying for the Army at Dugway Proving Grounds. Flying was his love and he was an excellent pilot. He worked many years at Dugway in other positions and then transferred to Hill Air Force Base, where he retired in 1973. He and Mae spent many years traveling and boating. Member of the LDS Church.

Survived by his wife, Mae; children, Harold (Bill) W. England, Jr., Kaye England, both of Salt Lake City; Ruth Ann (John) England, of Cortez, Colorado; Patricia (Kim) Ellsworth of Riverside, California; step-children, Richard Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Syddall of Tooele; brother, Robert England of Roy. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Ray, Jay and Keith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 1998, 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 So., where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
