Folks in a 36-square-block section of west Herriman can say goodbye to the dream of a home in the country with a septic tank.

They'll just have to settle for the "home in the country" and forget the septic tanks after county commissioners voted Tuesday to annex the area into Salt Lake County Sewer District No. 1.Bill Kenworthy, the district's general manager, said construction on new sewer lines to serve the area should begin by fall.

The newly annexed area, which lies between 11600 and 13400 South from 7200 to 7400 West, should be fully sewered some time next spring. District lines will serve some 50 new homes currently being built in the area, and more construction is scheduled.
